Summer CallingTwo finals are all that stand between me and my summer break. This semester has been rough, so I'm glad it's nearly over and behind me. Unfortunately, both finals are for Anthropology (one is for the Lab), so I'm not exactly looking forward to taking them. Meanwhile, summer job prospects are nil, so it looks like I'll be taking full advantage of my chance to rest up
That said, I am a nerd with no life and will be attending a summer class for the fun of it. Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, my favorite professor is teaching a drama class and just loves having people drop in. It sounds very exciting, so school will probably still be the highlight of my summer. My library writing group goes on hiatus this time of year to handle other events, so it's not like I have anything better to do. He also has us keep a journal for this class, so maybe I'll have another giveaway soon
Note to self: the first week we are working with The Tell-Tale Heart, Annabel Lee, and The Road Not Taken, so brush up on those before the 29th.
By the time next semester starts, I should be nearly finished with my extensive dental work. I just got two more filled this afternoon - there are three more fillings lined up for the end of the month and they're going to get me fitted for a partial at that time as well. After that, it's some relatively minor stuff on the bottom row and maybe some crowning if necessary. My teeth look so much better, even if I do have to be careful around hard food now. The numbing agent is beginning to wear off as I type this so I'm a touch sore, but should be fine by tomorrow morning. Just in time to take my Anthropology final
Mid-writing edit: I found my Vicodin
If I dissolve into incoherency later on down the line, you now know why.

*SurrealCachinnation currently has the Round Robin notebook. I'll be giving her the next address (that would be the sister duo of *doodlerTM and *Creativity-Squared) once I hear back from her.
`LiliWrites has asked for some contest pimping and I'm happy to oblige. Deadline is May 31st.
In addition to #theWrittenRevolution and #EliteLiterature e-books, it looks like I'm going to be helping out ^neurotype with a lit. magazine/ blog. I'm not sure what I'll be doing/ writing about yet, but it can't hurt to have to real-world experience with English-related things
We're planning a contest over at =DailyLitDeviations, so keep an eye out for future details!
Speaking of which, I would like to remind everyone that I am in fact a Prose Admin so keep sending me your suggestions. I haven't run out from the last contest yet, but it is beginning to get low. I don't mind hosting another one, but I can't keep doing it indefinitely.
Features! Because I haven't done this in a while
Random browsing lead me to this artist, ~artsaus, who has an absolutely gorgeous gallery and deserves more attention that their 5000 views:

~kosbar has only been on dA for a month, but is already amassing a pretty impressive gallery:

I keep stumbling into fantastic nature-oriented galleries lately. Meet ~jeromeguastalla:

And ~5-zal:

Have fun on the summer classes.
I've had projects and papers due all this week. My finals (four) are spread across next Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, which isn't so bad. I'll be glad to have a few weeks off. Read your journal as well as some of the other books I've had laying around. I've read The Tell-Tale Heart, Annabel Lee, and The Road Not Taken and loved them all, but mostly the first two, which tells you what kind of person I am. XD I'm hoping to read Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, Ulysses, Jane Eyre, and "a few" other books this summer. I'll have to go back through your excerpts to find more (because I totally need more books on that list. XD)
I take it another journal giveaway is worth the trouble?
