A very cool idea! Would you be accepting submissions that had links to recorded readings by the artists? Or would you only be making readings of pieces that were selected? I have made a few of my own, and would be interested in making more. Oral recitation/performance is an area that I definitely feel there's a lot about which I'd be interested in learning.
We have a folder especially for member read pieces Though if you're that interested, you could note *disrhythmic about being a reader for the group yourself. I doubt anyone would mind
For me, poetry is meant to be heard, not read. (And every time I see a poem with some fancy and novel formatting, I think: what's the use of that? It doesn't matter when it's read aloud...) I often find myself reading or reciting my poems, or those of my friends or favourite authors.
Maybe Lingerie, since you seemed to have particularly enjoyed that one? I think that'd probably be the best piece to read out loud, that I've written... I was way too nervous to read it in front of my class. May submit that one for workshop, though.
Or anything else you want. I'd just really love to see what you could do with something I've written.
