Intro

Ages and ages ago, I wrote this journal, Calm Down, with the intention of eventually creating a masterpost of links that help me manage my anxiety. Well, I'm finally getting around to it :D

My anxiety has gotten a lot better over time now that I'm on meds for it, but I still enjoy frequenting these links as most of them are fun and satisfying in one way or another. Feel free to add to my list in the comment section!

Games

:bulletblue: Orisinal - Orisinal is like the OG of cute, relaxing stuff. Be sure to have your volume on! Personal favorites include:

- Bugs
- The Way Home
- Wake Up Calls
- The Amazing Dare Dozen

:bulletblue: Chain Reaction

:bulletblue: Silk - not exactly a game, but interactive art.

:bulletblue: Entanglement

:bulletblue: Neon Flames - Similar to Silk, but different enough to warrant its own bullet point.

:bulletblue: Musical Squares - A personal favorite of mine

Phone Apps

:bulletblue: Viridi - Take care of a plant without fear of killing it.

:bulletblue: Infinity Loop

:bulletblue: Zen Koi

:bulletblue: Colorfy -  Any digital coloring app will do, but Colorfy is probably the most well-known.

:bulletblue: Let's Create! Pottery Lite

:bulletblue: Design Home - Another personal favorite :)

Music, Ambiance. and ASMR

:bulletblue: I've linked to the  Journey Soundtrack before, but it really is some of the most beautifully calming music I've ever come across. It's one of only two soundtracks I've ever bought (the other was Kingdom Hearts).

:bulletblue: ASMRSURGE is the best ASMR video-maker I've found. No talking, fantastic audio quality. I recommend the Zen Garden and soap carving videos.

:bulletblue: fastASMR is another good choice.

:bulletblue: Rainy Mood is already quite well-known, and with good reason. Now available as an app too!

:bulletblue: Rain Noise is a nice alternate to the above, with sliders and pre-sets able to customize your mood.

Iyashikei

Japanese for "healing," iyashikei is a type of anime or manga designed with the specific intention of being soothing and relaxing. I personally love finding shows like this, and most of them aren't well known in the West, so I thought I would spread the love. You should be able to find any of these on KissAnime.

:bulletblue: SoRaNoWoTo/ The Sound of the Sky - Kanata joins the army with dreams of becoming a bugler and is stationed in a small town at the edge of no-man's-land. Despite taking place during a war, for the most part, the Sound of the Sky is a slice-of-life tale that delves into the past and present of the girls in the 1121st platoon.

:bulletblue: Haibane Renmei/ Charcoal Feather Federation - Focuses on a group of children and young adults known as the Haibane, who have grey wings sprouting from their back. Maybe the afterlife, maybe purgatory - little is known about who or what the Haibane are. Slow and philosophical day-to-day life drama.

:bulletblue: Mushishi - Has a sort of mellow, folktale vibe that follows a traveler who researches mushi - small, not-quite-plant-not-quite-animal creatures that can be beneficial or troublesome. Episodes are mostly standalone and include tales like a man who can't leave a bamboo forest, a swamp that moves by itself, and a man compelled to chase rainbows.

To be added to in the future!

Wow! I'm so glad you included Mushi-shi on this list. It's one of my favorite animes and I always found Ginko intriguing. They also made a live-action movie [which I believe is on KissAsia]. I still haven't finished the series though, so I haven't watched it yet.
